Videoconversion Digital Lab has been digitizing home and professional video tapes in Barcelona since 2004, with over 420,000 tapes processed over 22 years. We work to the same technical standards our institutional clients require —La Liga, TV3, UNED, Filmoteca de Catalunya and CSIC—, so every private customer gets the same precision and care. We convert VHS, Video8, Hi8, MiniDV, VHS-C, Betamax, U-Matic, DVCPro, Betacam and other home and professional formats to high-quality digital files.
Our Barcelona lab is equipped with professional broadcast technology for the highest quality in every digitization. Each tape goes through a time base corrector (TBC) that stabilizes the signal and removes distortion before digital capture.
We handle every home and professional video format, from family VHS tapes to Betacam SP masters for production companies and archives. Over 420,000 tapes processed in 22 years back our experience.
The result is delivered as a high-quality digital file (MP4 H.264/H.265) by secure download, USB stick or hard drive. As an optional extra we offer AI enhancement: less noise, more sharpness and color, stabilization if the camera shakes, and upscaling to Full HD.

Yes. We assess each tape individually. With 22 years of experience and over 420,000 tapes, we have recovered material from tapes with mould, partial breaks and other damage. We do a free assessment before starting.
Yes, for €10 per trip (or you can drop off and collect yourself at no cost). We pick up and deliver across mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands with NACEX, or you can bring the material to our lab at Av. República Argentina 38, Barcelona.
